Who our Members Are

Our Members are VIP’s (Very Important People) they stem from all walks of life, are creative, patient and fun!

They strive to improve their skills and are helpful and like to be helped. They are zealots in their chosen art. Whether that art be in digitising their own embroidery designs, placing the swatches at the right angle or making sure that the darts in that garment are even, enthusiasm will never be missing.

Our members strive to improve their skills through:

* Retreats
* Website Tutorials
* Seminars
* Conventions/Conferences and;
* Forums

We shall be staging events to help our members in pursuit of their goals; we shall support Regional, Local and Special Interest Groups by creating forums for them to communicate and meet.

Future aim are to gain discounts and sponsorship from aligned business for the benefit of our members. More on this later.....

Cost of Membership

The costs (or fees) of becoming a Member, whether it is as a Standard Member (annual), or Lifetime Member are expended for the benefit of Members.  Currently the major expenditure is assigned to the cost of the website, our Accounting fees (Auditing, Tax reporting etc).

Our website has progressed from a “home grown” one-man submission through to website that conformed and was able to be read by IE as well as other well used browsers; ultimately we now have a fully functional Community Website that will provide support and communication for all enthusiasts typically “a one stop shop” for all your support and information needs.

Bearing this in mind - “From acorns oak trees grow” - and we are definitely on the way to becoming an oak tree with many branches to satisfy our members, sponsors and Affiliates.

Fees also allow us to offer discounts for attendance at both the Guild’s and external events.

Fees collected are for the benefit of all members, it allows us to conglomerate the funds and provde all members the benefit of belonging to an entity such as ours.

• Lifetime Membership - Standard Membership x 10

How To Become a Member

Becoming a member of the Machine Embroidery Guild Inc. (MEGInc) is quite painless. All we need are a few details and payment of a membership fee.

We are unable to accept Credit Card payments at this time.  We can accept chequest or direct deposits to our Bank account.  Payment details can be found on the Contact page.

Membership acceptance is by approval of the Executive of the Guild and once approved a confirmation e-mail will be sent to you; with details of membership number and access to the Members Area (soon to be announced).
