Hornsby Machine Embroidery Group back for 2008

Hello All,
The Hornsby Group will be back at the Beatrice Taylor Hall, Willow Park, Corner of Edgeworth David Ave. and Sherbrook Road, Hornsby 2077 (in Sydney Australia) starting Tuesday 14th January 2008 at 8.30am to 3pm, or any number of hours that suit you.
If you have an interest in Machine Embroidery, we would love to see you. Beginner or advanced, there is bound to be something that you will enjoy doing.
The only cost to the group is the hire of the hall which is very small when shared.
Looking forward to doing lots of interesting things in embroidery in 2008.

Hornsby Group has a theme each month

Hi Everyone,
The Hornsby Group is a very happy bunch of ladies, and each month we have a new theme. Of course lots of other things are going on at the same time. February was embroidering a blouse, March was an embroidered teddy. Trish digitized the outline for some of the bears and then we combined our embroideries and it was ready to cut out and sew up. April was embroidering linen which has a huge variety, and May we are embroidering shawls, from Pashminas, Chiffon, to Silk Organza. Floriani Wet N Gone Tacky is the secret to embroidering on Silk Organza, but I would love to hear if anyone uses something different. Wet N Gone Tacky is $60AUD a roll. Washaway stabilizer is very useful too. Keep those machines humming. Rhonda Mary

Is There A Reminder Notice For Renewing Annual Subscriptions?

Hello Christine,
I was wondering if my Annual Subscription was due on the anniversary of my original payment, which was 24th November 2005. My next payment was in June 2006, but now I am unsure if everyone renews on their anniversary date or 30th June. If someone paid in March or April, would they have to pay again in June?
Is there a reminder system, as it is very easy to forget about paying for subs? Hoping to hear from you soon.

When clicking on the shortcut buttons at the top of the page you get a box saying there is nothing new but this is not the case. Is it possible to have this feature checked please as it is a quick way of checking the forums. It works well on other sites. many thanks.

Hi all,
Just uploaded two photos of the shirt I made for my Mum for Mothers Day. I wanted to do something personal so bought designs from http://www.bunnycup.com and personalised them for her family, from children to great grandchildren.
As she has more great grandchildren on the way, I sewed out the designs and put them on as appliques and used my built in stitches to make photo frames for each person. I will be able to do more patches so she can add the new babies as they arrive. I am sure she will love it. And the good thing is - bunnycup belongs to an Australian, Ashlea from Queensland.

Hi all,
I found out about this site on one of my many Yahoo groups. It is a software written just for me...lol. As a downloader of so many designs I often wonder how many times I have downloaded the same design. Now I don’t have to worry (I hope).

The above site has a program which seeks out and finds duplicate designs even under another name. I am not affiliated in any way, just thought that this would be a great program to buy.
Will let you all know once I have installed it, which at the moment could take a little while.

Hello Christine,
Could you check your emails at the address you gave in the thread “Problems and other comments”. I did mention in the last message on that thread that my emails may have been lost, but I just don’t know if you received them at all. I don’t think I have ever had a reply when I have used that email address. Would it be easier to put the details here? Hope to hear from you soon.
